1898
Frank Nagle and Cyrus Grett establish Fremont Metal & Manufacturing Co. in a 5,000 square foot building on Ohio Avenue in Fremont, Ohio.
1900s
Razor blades, household utensils, hospital carts, cots, and tools are produced, under the names "Witch," "Wizard," and "Magic."
1930s
The company employs approximately 50 workers and begins expanding its consumer product lines of disposable bladed knives.
1970s
Sales surpass one million dollars with millions of blades produced under brand names including Surgical Edge, Mystery Edge, and Extra Duty.
1980s
Direction shifts from shaving razors to industrial and surgical blades. Facilities are expanded from the original Ohio Avenue plant.
1980s
Operations move to Fremont's Riverview Industrial Park, and the workforce expands to approximately 200 employees.
